Essentials.

Just so you know.

Here are the ways I do things. All very warm and human. No big surprises. We’ll keep those for the work.

ANDREW JOLLIFFE GETS INTO MINDS

LIKE CASANOVA GOT INTO KNICKERS.

I work wherever.

At your office, at home, in cafés, anywhere. And if there’s a chance to work amongst you, I’ll be there. I love it.

I charge by the day.

My freelance day-rate is the same for everybody, new or regular. That said, I’m flexible. Give me a long-term or on-and-off  project and we’ll work something out. My payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date. Simple.

I don’t stray.

Buy my time, and it’s yours. I won’t spend it calling other clients, smooching, smoking, gossiping, booking restaurants or flirting. That’s for afterwards.

I don’t do free trials.

Restaurants don’t let you try meals for free. At a theatre, you pay at the door. Sorry, everyone needs to eat. Even copywriters.

I work for whoever.

Call me promiscuous but I work for all sorts. Agencies. Brands. Start-ups. Artists. Craftspeople. Societies. Screenwriters. Politicians. Original writing keeps them all unique. They deserve to be.

I don’t just write copy.

Films. Lectures. Speeches. Artists’ catalogues. Poems. Proposals. If anything has words, it deserves its very own. At the moment I’m working on. a screenplay and a book of Italian poems. Wish me luck.

I don’t use AI to write.

For research, yes. But everything I write is from my mind. AI recycles others’  work. It’s not original or unique. Your words have to be because your brand is.

I love to talk.

Even if a project is just a prospect, it’s worth a chat. Talking costs nothing, but  can turn into something.

I speak English, French and Italian.

Brief me in any one of those and we can go from there. I prefer to write in English, but have working partners fluent in the other two. They’re as experienced as me.

Andrew Jolliffe is hands down one of the most talented copywriters I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

I would say he “practically wrote the book on copy”, but he ACTUALLY wrote the book on copy, and it’s one I still dig around in for tips to this day. An amazing addition to any team, Andrew brings a depth of strategic and creative knowledge that only comes with years of experience. I would jump at the opportunity to work with him again.
